We are building an off-grid cottage, 2,400 square feet in size and are looking at power options through a generator/inverter. It is likely the cottage will be closed for 4 months a year. Furnace, water heater, and the kitchen range will all be propane. Furnace fan, refrigerator (393 kilo), ceiling fans(4x) television, microwave, toaster, and room lights will all be run off inverter. There will also be a woodstove on the main floor for heating. Rough estimate of wattage required would be 5400. Could you provide us with any advice as to the type of generator/inverter that we should be installing?
